Axis Bank not only has all the amazing credit cards in premium segment but also a good number of entry-level cards, out of which Axis Neo Credit Card is certainly one of the best credit card for beginners and is being offered as Lifetime Free Credit Card from time to time.
Axis Bank Neo Credit Card comes with card-linked benefits like 40% OFF on Zomato for which it’s known for. Here is everything you need to know,
Table of Contents
Overview
Type | Entry-Level Credit Card |
Reward Rate | 0.2% |

While the Axis Neo Credit Card comes with many benefits with small merchants, the noteworthy ones are the 40% OFF on Zomato and the 5% OFF on Amazon Bill Payment.

Welcome Benefit | 100% cashback upto Rs 300 on first utility bill pay |
Renewal Fee | 250 INR+GST (Lifetime FREE at times) |
Renewal Benefit | – |
Renewal Fee waiver | – |
It’s an entry level card with perhaps the lowest ever annual fee on a card I’ve ever seen. But anyway it’s being issued as a Lifetime Free card often, so do check for the same.
Rewards
- 1 RP for every 200 INR spend (Reward Rate = 0.10%)
- 1 RP = 0.20 INR on edge rewards portal
Such low reward rate on Axis Neo is unacceptable in 2024 where even standard LTF cards can offer reward rate of ~2% or so.
Zomato Offer: 40% OFF
- Coupon Code: AXISNEO
- Offer: 40% off on Zomato, upto twice a month
- Min Spend: 200 INR
- Max Discount: 120 INR
The Zomato offer works seamlessly on the App, here’s a snap of one of my recent order:
Features & Benefits
- 5% off on Utility bill payments via Amazon Pay (upto 150 INR, once a month)
- 10% off on Myntra, Blinkit, Bookmyshow (capping & min txn value applies)
Except the 5% off on utility bill payment benefit, all else are close to useless in this time and age.
I feel that the bank should have also refreshed the features and benefits of the card while refreshing the design.
But of-course it’s a ultra low fee card, so one can’t complain.
Hands-on Experience

To experience the Axis Bank Neo credit card, I took one in family assuming that it would help us save a bit with Zomato orders but it’s tricky.
The problem is that it did not work with all restaurants like the Swiggy offer which we used to have with Axis MyZone Credit Card.
However early 2024, they started enabling most restaurants to avail the 40% offer, which makes it a pretty good deal for any Zomato lovers.
But this may change anytime. So if you’re planning to get the card, I would suggest checking the offer once with your preferred restaurants and then decide.
Bottom line
- Cardexpert Rating: 3.8/5
The Axis Bank Neo Credit Card is good for those who can really make use of the Zomato & Amazon offer among other small merchant offers.
I’m still holding one Neo Card in family just for the Zomato benefit – to have some cheap thrills. π
Otherwise one has to consider going for other credit cards with better rewards or cashback. Here is list of some of the best credit cards issued in India for you to choose from.
Do you find any value in Neo Credit Card? Feel free to share in the comments below.
Rating of 3.5 is outrageous. It must be 1.5 out of 5.
lol, let it enjoy 3.5 for the 5% off on amazon at-least.
When can we expect βBest credit cards for 2024β π
Having high hopes to publish within a week. Let’s see.
It’s not even worth of your time to explore this card Sid.
True, but realised that only later. Thought to use it like the Previous Swiggy offer on MyZone but turned out to be useless, will swap for some other card.
Hi, already i had axis flipkart, indian oil, my zone credit cards with limits more than 1 lakh & since 1 year. When i had applied for neo credit card it was rejected saying that one person can hold max of 3 cards from axis. Is this normal.
What can i do.
Yes, normal. You may drop Myzone perhaps and try, but again not worth it IMO. Maybe Ace would do.
Now Axis is giving 6 cards to an individual. I am using Magnus, Vistara Infinite, Atlas, Ace & Neo card.
Now 40% off is applicable on most restaurants. Please update.
Oh yes, have been using it past few months. It’s as good as the old Swiggy offer on MyZone now.
Updated, thanks.
The screenshot of Zomato app is bit confusing for me. How is it possible to club Axis Neo card and gift card balance? Total is 326.54. You got 40% off on 295 as discount. Net amount to pay is 208.54, but it was paid using gift card balance.
Good that you’ve paid attention to it. I think it’s kind of sweet spot which was working back then, not sure if it still works. π
If you have the Neo card still with you. Let us know, if still working or not π
Ran a test now, but well, looks like that was fixed. Throws an error that a min. of 199 INR has to be paid via Axis Neo Card.
Ha ha, so earlier many people would have looted by doing such double dip.
